Pressure Ratings

Use pressure guidance by checking the lowest-rated connection in the assembly.

Working pressures quoted should be treated as a guide only. Hydraulic fittings are commonly designed around proof and burst ratios, but the actual safe working limit for an adaptor depends on the weakest connection in the complete assembly.

Because service conditions vary, these values should not be taken as guaranteed. For every application, systems should be tested prior to use and pressure checks should reflect the exact thread, seal type, temperature and operating duty.

Torque Values

Tightening torque values relate to counterpart parts made from steel with lightly oiled threads, and should be used as a guide only.

Quality

Consistent adaptor performance depends on thread accuracy, sealing-face finish, material control and repeatable machining. Buyers comparing sourced parts should also check dimensional consistency, finish quality and supporting quality records where the application demands it.

Threads And Dimensions

Thread designation alone is not enough to confirm interchangeability. Buyers should verify thread form, pitch, sealing method, seat geometry and whether the connection is parallel, tapered, cone-seat, face-seal or port-style before ordering.

Plating

Zinc-plated carbon steel remains the most common finish for general hydraulic adaptor ranges. Plating choice affects corrosion resistance and storage performance, but does not replace correct sealing or material selection.

Material

Carbon steel is the most common base material for high-rotation hydraulic adaptor ranges. Stainless steel and brass are usually reserved for corrosion-led applications, media compatibility requirements or specialist assemblies.
